Healing the Soul through innovative kidney cancer research and community health educational initiatives.

The Tyler McKenzie Memorial Fund

The Tyler McKenzie Memorial Fund (TMMF) was established after the passing of Tyler McKenzie. Tyler was diagnosed with a rare form of kidney cancer in 2016. He died in August 2022 at the age of 28.

Tyler was the life of the party, whose smile could light up a room. He was a sports enthusiast who was passionate about bringing his community together, especially for a good cause.

Before he passed, he wanted to become an advocate for helping other young people navigate a cancer diagnosis, treatment, and care.  He was confident in his ability to beat this disease, but the disease proved too powerful.

“During the past two decades, the incidence of renal cancer has significantly declined among Caucasians but has rapidly increased among African Americans.” (Journal of the American Medical Association - JAMA).

The Tyler McKenzie Memorial Fund will honor Tyler’s legacy by bringing the community together to raise awareness about cancer’s that adversely affect the African American community. Through innovative kidney cancer research, patient advocacy and community health educational initiatives we hope to have more resources to help patients and families fight and win their battle with kidney cancer.

The Tyler McKenzie Memorial Fund is operated under the philanthropic arm of M2squared Associates and is exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to TMMF are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Tyler McKenzie Memorial Fund respects its donors' rights to privacy and confidentiality and does not release any information pertaining to its donors without their express written permission.
